Event Highlights
TOK Conference
Beaconhouse College Program-IBDP PECHS had the privilege of hosting Pakistan's first-ever Theory of
Knowledge (ToK) Conference, transforming the school into a vibrant hub of learning. This pioneering
event brought together academics, professionals, and students to explore how diverse areas of
knowledge—Human Sciences, Natural Sciences, Mathematics, History, and Art—intersect and have real-world
applications.
The conference provided an immersive experience, encouraging interdisciplinary thinking and fostering a
deeper understanding of TOK, while helping students approach their essay titles and exhibition prompts
with a broader perspective. Sessions covered a range of topics, from empathy in cinema and
socio-political research to the epistemic roots of Qawwali music, exploring the thinking processes
behind knowledge creation and communication. The event also included discussions on bridging
disciplines, highlighting how TOK’s integration of different fields is critical in real-world
problem-solving.
